Synopsis A staged visit to the Ajuda Palace accompanied by the queen who lived there the longest: Queen Maria Pia of Savoy. The Italian princess and queen consort of Portugal leads a visit through the rooms of the only royal palace currently open to visitors in Lisbon. The queen tells, in the first person, what everyday life was like for her, the king and the princes. In the month that marks her birthday, the celebration takes on a special charm. A journey into the daily life of the royal family in the 19th century that ends with a ball in the salons of the Ajuda Palace.
