From 23 to 25 October, the Lisboa Barroca festival brings the baroque spirit to churches and unusual venues in Graça and São Vicente, with the Noa Noa ensemble, harpsichordist Elizabeth Joyé, cellist Cyril Poulet, the Petiscos Musicais and a Renaissance improvisation workshop.
From 23 to 25 October, the baroque spirit will once again invade the churches and unusual venues of the Graça and São Vicente neighbourhoods, on the occasion of a new edition of the Lisboa Barroca festival. The line-up includes world-renowned artists, such as the Noa Noa ensemble; some of Portugal's rising young stars, the Ensemble Occasus; one of the leading figures of the French harpsichord, Elizabeth Joyé, as well as the remarkable young French cellist Cyril Poulet, who caught the attention of William Christie. The festival will also offer a new format: the Petiscos Musicais, hosted by Joana Bagulho. These informal gatherings will be an opportunity to learn more about music in a relaxed atmosphere, share a glass of wine or a coffee and meet the musicians. For professional musicians, there will be a Renaissance improvisation workshop with Antoine Schneider, offering the chance to explore and deepen this practice. Full programme here.
