On World Music Day, 1 October, the Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães hosts "From Court to Salon", a violin and piano concert tracing love-themed music from the refined elegance of the European courts to the intimacy of the late 19th and early 20th century salons, performed by Teatro Nacional de São Carlos musicians Alexander Stewart and João Paulo Santos.

On World Music Day, 1 October, the Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães hosts "From Court to Salon", a concert for violin and piano that proposes a musical journey with a love theme through different eras and settings, from the refined elegance of the European courts to the intimacy and charm of the concert salons of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The musicians are from the Teatro Nacional de S. Carlos: Alexander Stewart is Adjunct Concertmaster of the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, and Maestro João Paulo Santos, who for several decades has held the most prominent position on the Portuguese classical music scene and at the country's only opera house. No Dia Mundial da Música, 1 de outubro, o Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães recebe "Da Côrte ao Salão", um concerto para violino e piano, que propõe uma viagem musical de temática amorosa em diferentes épocas e ambientes, desde a elegância refinada das cortes europeias até à intimidade e ao encanto dos salões de concerto do final do século XIX e início do século XX. Músicos do Teatro Nacional de S.Carlos, Alexander Stewart é 1º Violino Concertino Adjunto da Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, e o Maestro João Paulo Santos, que ocupa há várias décadas o lugar de maior destaque na cena musical erudita portuguesa e no único teatro lírico do país.
