Brief Introduction Tonight We Shout is a feast of performed readings of theatrical texts, promoted by Companhia Cepa Torta, which in 2026 celebrates 10 years of existence. Held in different venues in Lisbon and Lagos, and with a wide range of performers under a common artistic direction, the cycle asserts itself as an annual celebration of the theatrical text aloud. Synopsis In 1950s Barcelona, at the height of Franco's dictatorship, Vitória, a quiet barber's widow, sees her small world of lentils and brooms crumble. For the first time, after years of "exemplary" behavior, lies, corruption and censorship unfold before her eyes. In a sequence of coincidences, she discovers the need to fight and act. In the slow unveiling of the fiction in which everyone lives, struggles are revealed in a tangle of fear, loss and desire: for those who love, for love, or for freedom. In a poetic and disenchanted dramaturgy, Pau Miró brings us the past as one looks to the future. As one who cannot forget to fight.
