Full details

Brief Introduction If in recent decades the term ambient became established, largely thanks to the visionary work of Brian Eno and the broader recognition of his oeuvre, the multiple interpretations that followed reconfigured its premises. At the dawn of the millennium, Fennesz, Jan Jelinek, Gas or Tim Hecker took that state of mind to the threshold of expressions increasingly marked by textural exploration and the search for synesthesia. From the kaleidoscopic visions of the Basic Channel records to the dystopian filter of Burial, among so many others, the sensory dimension intensified and expanded in multiple directions. Less surgical and more artisanal, the cream of the genre today agglutinates memories of pop culture, impressions of the everyday and an organic nature, almost as spontaneous as it is uncontrollable - which makes everything more vivid than ever. And, in the middle of 2026, there is no shortage of examples of the exploratory quality that reigns in these frequencies.

Show original (Portuguese)

O EP
