SynopsisOne of the biggest voices in UK Rap arrives in Lisbon (Capitólio) for the first time in his own name, on 20 October, to present “Locked In”, a project with very high expectations that arrives on digital platforms in September. Pre-sale is already available until the 4th, at 4 p.m., and general sales begin on the 7th, at 10 a.m.Today, Nemzzz is one of the most streamed rappers in the UK, opening up space for a global audience, while keeping his roots in Gorton, in the south of Manchester. It was in 2018 that he began sharpening his tongue and pen over beats he found on YouTube, but the school for his artistic development came from within the family: a father who was a reggae vocalist and a mother who was a beatmaker, who developed the first influences of the British rapper. He remembers imitating Vybz Kartel, although his deepest musical memories come from an eclectic mix of his parents' records - from Bob Marley to Lauryn Hill and SMW. In his own words: “I always loved those old-school classics. I'm a different age to those artists, living a completely different life, but I just feel the music. That's how it's always been.”MR. DND didn't just arrive now, nor did he come to be one in a million. At thirteen he was already releasing his first tracks - with a brief hiatus that made him reflect on the sound he wanted to pursue - and in 2021, alarms sounded for the rapper's originality, with the single “Elevate”.
