In South Korea, tea is not just a drink, but also a moment of pause and conviviality. The tea ceremony or 'darye' is a ritual of encounter and sharing that involves conversation and reading poems, while enjoying the taste and aroma of tea. In this session, we will explore the traditions and particularities of the tea ceremony in autumn. While tasting different teas and typical delicacies, participants will become aware of how the different seasons manifest in traditional Korean arts. Program Tea tasting Tasting of traditional Korean cakes Presentation of poems related to the season Conversation about Korean culture, history, while enjoying tea, poems and snacks Sejin Cho is a visual artist from South Korea, graduated in painting from Hongik University.
