"I always wake up earlier than the alarm clock to avoid the traumatic experience of being woken up." Slavoj Žižek (Too Late to Awaken: What Lies Ahead When There Is No Future) LEX is a company that survives in a rigorous hierarchical system, where the strongest — or at least the cleverest — wins, but where everyone is part of the family. They are all employees, but the market is free to do whatever it wants. It is in this company that Jorge, a widowed father, works. Deluded by false hopes of a better future, he submissively accepts all the demands of his superiors. He is pushed into an innovative productivity programme to prove his commitment and his debt to the company. (It will be so worth it!) The effort will be rewarded and hope is the last thing to die.
