MAC/CCB invites children aged 4 to 13 to spend three days of the Christmas holidays at the museum, with workshops like 'Drawing Hand to Hand' and 'Playing with Reality', inspired by the museum's works and exhibitions.

Full details

Brief Introduction The most eagerly awaited time of year is approaching, and MAC/CCB invites the youngest to fill some holiday days with new adventures at the museum. Between drawings, colours, stories and imagined worlds, the Christmas Holiday Workshops bring opportunities for discovery, experimentation and creation, taking as their starting point the museum's works and exhibitions. On 16, 17 and 18, and 21, 22 and 23 December, the workshops challenge participants, aged 4 to 13, to try out different forms of expression. From drawings passed from hand to hand to journeys through colour, and from building imagined realities to the stories objects can tell, each proposal opens up space for curiosity and imagination. Because art is also a way of discovering the world. Synopsis DRAWING HAND TO HAND When our heads are full of images, we want to quickly scribble them onto paper. But does a drawing really need to be finished? For the artist Marisol, there are drawings that stop, restart or transform. There are no right or wrong drawings, nor a goal to reach. So why not turn drawing into a relay game? The drawings pass from hand to hand, evolve and take on new shapes. Over these three days, we will play at drawing, experiment with materials, explore techniques and discover new ways of creating without wanting to stop! Conception and guidance: Inês Machado and Lea Managil Date: 16, 17 and 18 December 2026 Ages: 4, 6 years PLAYING WITH REALITY What if we could invent the rules of the world we live in? Neïl Beloufa's exhibition invites us to enter a territory between the factual and the imagined, where objects, images, sounds, characters and rules can build new narratives. In this workshop, we will create places that do not exist, invent characters, transform objects, build sets, without knowing exactly where reality ends and fiction begins. Here, the museum becomes a space for play and we go from spectators to creators and participants. Conception and guidance: Fabrícia Valente and Marília Pascoal Date: 16, 17 and 18 December Ages: 7, 13 years Additional Notes Schedule: 09h30, 17h30 Price: 105€/week (3 days), with lunch and insurance included Bookings and further information via phone +351 213 612 800 or e-mail Prices Children aged 4 to 6 - 105€ Children aged 7 to 13 - 105€ Discounts CARTÃO CCB ESTRELAS E OURIÇOS FAMÍLIA
