The new long-term exhibition on the ground floor of Palácio Pimenta traces the history of Lisbon, a city that grew facing the Tagus, from the Palaeolithic to the splendour of D. João V's reign, with over 500 pieces and the emblematic scale model of Lisbon made before the 1755 earthquake.

The Museum of the Orient ticket gives access to the permanent exhibition 'Portuguese Presence in Asia' and the temporary shows 'Japan: Festivals and Rituals' (until 3 January 2027) and 'Da Matriz à Impressão' (until 9 August 2026). On Fridays there is free entry from 6pm to 8pm. Entry 10€.
