Teatro Meridional's new creation draws on tales, poetry and novel excerpts written at different moments in the history of Goa, Daman and Diu, exploring the universe of these territories where Portuguese was — and still residually is — spoken. There is a Portuguese Sign Language session on 18 October and a talk with the audience on 25 October.

Synopsis GOA - Contos em Viagem is the new creation by Teatro Meridional, built from tales, poetry and excerpts of novels by different authors, written at different moments in the history of Goa, Daman and Diu. Based on research that begins in literature and expands into music, movement and the plastic and sensory dimension, the show seeks the historical, geographical and human universe of these territories, where Portuguese was spoken — and is still spoken, residually, today. This is an encounter between Portugal and its own history. A show that honours the Indo-Portuguese communities living in Portugal today, bringing to the stage a heritage that many Portuguese people crossed without knowing, and that many others know nothing about at all.
