Exhibition Free entry Todas as idades

Galeria de Arte da Freguesia Cascais e Estoril (Estoril) Cascais e Estoril · Cascais

A travelling exhibition of 17 original canvases by 10 artists who freely reinterpret the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN's 2030 Agenda, on show with free entry at the Galeria de Arte da Freguesia de Cascais e Estoril, in Estoril.

The urgency of today's great global challenges takes on new life through the lens of contemporary art. The travelling exhibition “17 Colours for Tomorrow” will tour the municipality of Cascais, bringing the debate on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to the heart of the community. The show brings together 17 original canvases signed by 10 artists, in a plurality of techniques, textures and styles. Each artist reinterpreted, with complete creative freedom, the targets of the UN's 2030 Agenda, from eradicating poverty and gender equality to preserving the oceans and climate action. More than an institutional show, “17 Colours for Tomorrow” presents itself as a visual manifesto in motion. The project seeks to decentralise access to culture and inspire citizens of all ages to reflect on each person's role in building a fairer and more balanced tomorrow. The exhibition, with free entry, is on at the Galeria de Arte da Freguesia de Cascais e Estoril, in Estoril. It is an opportunity to colour the public and educational debate about the future we want to build.
