TIL - Teatro Infantil de Lisboa stages a musical for young audiences that revisits Rudyard Kipling's classic from a contemporary perspective, centred on the relationship between Humankind and Nature. Mowgli, raised in the jungle by Bagheera and Baloo, and Shanti, raised in the village by Messua, join forces to bring the two worlds closer and face Shere Khan, the fearsome tiger who sees Man as a threat.

Rudyard Kipling's jungle comes to new life on stage with Mowgli, The Jungle Book, the new production by TIL, Teatro Infantil de Lisboa. Conceived for young audiences, this musical revisits one of the great classics of literature from a contemporary perspective, placing at its centre the relationship between Humankind and Nature. Created in the jungle by Bagheera and Baloo, Mowgli knows a reality very different from Shanti's, who was raised in the village by Messua. Despite the differences that separate them, the two share the desire to bring these two worlds closer and find in cooperation, dialogue and friendship a possible way to do so. Along the way, they will also have to face Shere Khan, the fearsome tiger who sees Man as a threat. Between music, theatre and adventure, Mowgli, The Jungle Book proposes a reflection on sustainability, cultural and social differences and the need to rethink our relationship with the natural world. A classic story that thus finds new questions for the present. Creative team: TIL - Teatro Infantil de Lisboa.
