Kurtág Fragments follows his emotional and artistic journey through landmark places in his life, including Transylvania, Budapest, Vienna, London and Paris, where his masterpiece Fin de partie was staged in 2022. Along the way, the film shows his work with world-renowned musicians such as Víkingur Ólafsson, Steven Isserlis and Pierre-Laurent Aimard, recording the mystical process through which Kurtág transforms emotion into music.
