Synopsis HAPPY NEW LEAR Synopsis: An old aristocrat from other times wanders lost and abandoned at a gas station. A comedian on her way to a New Year's party runs out of car on a national road. Fate seems to want to bring these two characters together on a tragicomic journey that combines an ancient story of family succession with a practical problem of the contemporary world. Maria do Céu Guerra and Maria Rueff finally meet on stage for a new 'and happy' version of William Shakespeare's King Lear, where the relationship between the Fool and the King allows us to dive into the great problems of our time: abandonment, old age, precariousness, indifference, war, and despair.
