SOUL, FOLK AND PSYCHEDELIC NUANCES MEET IN AN INTENSE AND INTIMATE NIGHT AT LAV, LISBOA AO VIVO. With one of the most magnetic voices in contemporary music, Canadian singer-songwriter Frazey Ford finally makes her debut in Portugal at Misty Fest 2026, presenting the enveloping 'U kin B the Sun', an album internationally acclaimed for its subtle fusion of soul, folk and psychedelia. The concert, set for November 14, promises to awaken all emotions at LAV, Lisboa ao Vivo. Between delicacy and groove. After establishing herself with The Be Good Tanyas, Frazey Ford found in her solo career a space for greater creative freedom, moving ever closer to soul with echoes of 70s funk, and deeply human and intuitive songwriting. In 'U kin B the Sun', her third album of originals, Ford takes further her approach to soul, already present in 'Indian Ocean' (2014), definitively moving away from the more traditional structures of folk and the solitary, guitar-centered compositional approach that marked 'Obadiah' (2010). The result is a more physical, organic and sensorial language, something also reflected in the greater concreteness of her lyrics. Recorded from long improvisation sessions with musicians Darren Parris and Leon Power, the album became a spontaneous celebration of complicity, vulnerability and joy. An album acclaimed by international critics. Released in 2020, 'U kin B the Sun' was widely highlighted by the international press, consolidating Frazey Ford as one of the most unique voices in contemporary author music. Between contemplative atmospheres, luminous melodies and a warm, enveloping sound, the album earned distinctions such as "Album of the Week" in The Guardian and praise from British and American critics: "It is an antidote to discouragement...
