With one of the most magnetic voices in contemporary music, Canadian singer-songwriter Frazey Ford finally makes her debut in Portugal at Misty Fest 2026, presenting the enveloping 'U kin B the Sun', an album internationally acclaimed for its subtle fusion of soul, folk and psychedelia. After establishing herself with The Be Good Tanyas, Frazey Ford found in her solo career a space for greater creative freedom, moving ever closer to soul with echoes of 70s funk, and deeply human and intuitive songwriting. In 'U kin B the Sun', her third album of originals, Ford takes further her approach to soul, already present in 'Indian Ocean' (2014), definitively moving away from the more traditional structures of folk and the solitary, guitar-centered compositional approach that marked 'Obadiah' (2010). The result is a more physical, organic and sensorial language, something also reflected in the greater concreteness of her lyrics.
