Collect LX Factory welcomes Shoal for a rare live performance on October 17th. Behind Shoal is the Dutch producer and sound artist Kenny Kneefel, a core member of the ISOTOOP collective whose work has become synonymous with hypnotic rhythms, intricate textures and deeply immersive electronic music. Based between the Netherlands and Prague, Shoal has developed a distinctive language that moves freely between techno, ambient, experimental electronics and raw, physical club music. His sound is built from hypnotic rhythmic patterns, field recordings, drones and raw synthesis, creating constantly shifting landscapes where subtle detail meets powerful movement. Releases across labels including Harmony Rec., Tikita, Animalia, Monument and ISOTOOP have established Shoal as one of the most singular voices within the contemporary underground electronic scene. Whether working behind the decks or performing live, Shoal approaches each set as a constantly evolving composition. No two journeys are the same. His live performances unfold through layered textures, rolling rhythms, unexpected turns and hypnotic tension , music designed as much for the body as it is for the mind. His performances have taken him to some of the most respected spaces and platforms in underground electronic music, including De School, Tresor, Ratherlost and Nous'klaer, while his live sets have been documented through outlets such as Ute and Rhythm Büro.
