Lebanese alternative trio Postcards, one of the leading names of their country's scene, bring their latest album “Ripe” to Rés do Chão at Casa Capitão on 15 March, with raw, melancholic songs halfway between dreamy pop and shoegaze.

Postcards are one of the leading references of the Lebanese alternative scene. Together since 2012, they have released five albums, translating a particularly turbulent period in the history of their home country into raw and melancholic songs, halfway between the most dreamlike pop and a touch of shoegaze. On their latest album, “Ripe”, from last year, the trio of Julia Sabra (vocals, guitar, electronics), Marwan Tohme (guitar, bass) and Pascal Semerdjian (drums) sounds looser, at once vulnerable and incisive. We can hardly wait to hear their songs on 15 March at Rés do Chão of Casa Capitão.
