An exhibition bringing together for the first time pieces from various themes of the collections of renowned Portuguese decorator and collector Duarte Pinto Coelho, on display from May 10 at Casa Duarte Pinto Coelho, with free entry.

The D. Luís I Foundation, with the support of the Cascais City Council and the Duques de Soria Foundation for Hispanic Science and Culture, brings together for the first time in a single exhibition pieces from various themes of the collections of the renowned Portuguese decorator and collector Duarte Pinto Coelho. The exhibition will be on display from May 10, at Casa Duarte Pinto Coelho (next to the Conde de Castro Guimarães Museum), located in the heart of the Bairro dos Museus de Cascais. Entry is free. The Duarte Pinto Coelho Collections consist of five nuclei - Marqueterie, between the 17th and 19th centuries; Neapolitan Volcanoes, between the 18th and 20th centuries; Liturgical Vestments, between the 18th and 20th centuries; Nuns' Embroidery, 19th century; and Painted Glass of the Red Room - from a vast set of pieces dated between the 17th and 20th centuries and originating from countries such as Spain, Italy, England, Holland, Japan, or France. It was built up over several decades and stands out for the variety, quality, quantity, and refined aesthetic taste of the Portuguese decorator. The pieces will be successively available for visits at Casa Duarte Pinto Coelho, with a program managed by the D. Luís I Foundation. Organization: D.
