Teatro Praga comes to MAAT and challenges participants to form ideas with their bodies through movement, inspired by the artworks in the exhibition.

Brief Introduction Workshop Teatro Praga x MAAT With Cláudia Jardim and Diogo Bento Teatro Praga comes to MAAT and challenges us to form ideas with our bodies and through movement in a creative workshop, where artworks are the point of inspiration to let each one's expressiveness flow. Let's think together and get inspired by the works that are part of the exhibition Turn around. A Look at the EDP Foundation Art Collection. In a group, with the keen eye of each participant, we will select a series of works from the exhibition. We then move on to the creation of possible narratives and plots that will be suggested and interpreted by the participants themselves, with the attentive supervision and mediation of creators and actors Cláudia Jardim and Diogo Bento. First, attention is generated on the works, material is imported, ideas are stolen, influences are collected, and then a performative proposal is exported with all the freedom and pleasure we are entitled to, with the respective families invited to watch the final result. Teatro Praga is an artistic collective founded in 1995, based at Rua das Gaivotas, in Lisbon, which presents itself as a group or federation of artists. The members of the collective play different roles in the creation of shows, valuing experimentation, constant transformation and the unrepeatability of the theatrical act. Their artistic practice challenges traditional theatre structures, refusing fixed answers and encouraging maximum responsibility on the part of the spectator.
