One of the broadest and most ambitious public readings of contemporary art in Portugal, curated by João Pinharanda, Margarida Chantre and Sérgio Mah, bringing together around 100 works from the Fundação EDP Collection. On view at MAAT Central starting on 11 February and 29 April, the exhibition runs until 2027.

Turn Around presents itself as one of the broadest and most ambitious public readings of contemporary art in Portugal. Curated by João Pinharanda, Margarida Chantre and Sérgio Mah, the exhibition brings together around 100 works from the Fundação EDP Collection, an archive begun in 2000 that today includes around 2,500 works by more than 340 artists. On view at MAAT Central in two moments — starting on 11 February and on 29 April — the show was conceived as a single exhibition project, on display until 2027. Far from a thematic or chronological organisation, the selection proposes an open route, built through the dialogue between works, generations and languages, in close relation with the architecture of the space. Between established artists and emerging voices, Turn Around reveals affinities, frictions and continuities that cross Portuguese artistic practices of recent decades.
