A former Red Cross delegate obsessively relives the day he visited a concentration camp disguised as a “normal city”, searching his memory for a sign he failed to recognise in time. In parallel, we witness the meticulous construction of this farce by a Nazi commander, aided by Gottfried, a Jewish prisoner forced to collaborate in the staging. Between manipulation, fear and creation, an unsettling theatrical game takes hold, where performing means staying alive, and failing may mean boarding the next “train on its way to heaven”. Performances with audio description on 9 and 11 October; and with Portuguese Sign Language on 4 October. Part of Passe Cultural - available only at the theatre box office. Technical sheet: Based on a text by Juan Mayorga. Artistic conception and project by Rita Cabaço; with Nídia Roque, Paulo Pinto, Tânia Alves and 10 people from the local community.
