Brief Introduction Esta noite grita-se is a feast of interpreted readings of theatrical texts, promoted by Companhia Cepa Torta, which in 2026 celebrates 10 years of existence. Held in different locations in the cities of Lisbon and Lagos, and with a wide range of performers under a common artistic direction, the cycle asserts itself as an annual celebration of the theatrical text aloud. Synopsis Text selected by Máquina de Cena, guest structure of this season, inspired by the novel Les Samothraces by Nicole Caligaris Song of survival, manifesto of a constellation of bodies in motion, SAMOTRÁCIAS is the cry of three women who cling to their urge to emigrate. Sissi, the youngest, seeks fame abroad. Sandra, a widowed mother, wants to escape a forced remarriage and offer a future to her daughter. Pepita, who has spent her life serving others, seeks a different end for her days. They are three women who want the same thing: to leave. Crushed by the belief in another future, they see their purpose fade in a cruel journey. The dream reduced to the instinct for survival. Doubt arises: do they really have the right to leave?
