TOTA is the artistic name of Jónatas Pereira, composer and singer from Albergaria-a-Velha. Between song, contemporary music and a permanent curiosity for experimentation, he has built a very distinctive language, where piano, voice, word, silence and detail coexist naturally. After ALTA(MENTE) (2015), the EP A Grande Comichão (2018) and the album TOTA (2023), TOTA has continued to expand his artistic universe, exploring new ways of thinking and writing songs. In 2025, he presented “Á-tê-xis” at the Festival da Canção, reinforcing an identity marked by formal freedom and a very particular relationship with the word. Now, TOTA returns to the point where it all began: the piano, childhood, home, family and the stories that transform us. The result is “brado”, his second album of original songs. With nine songs, as many as the months of a pregnancy, the album traverses themes such as birth, loss, expectations, fear and new beginnings, in a more intimate and vulnerable work. In this release concert at Casa Capitão, TOTA presents “brado” live, in a piano and voice format that finally opens these new songs to the public.
