Synopsis Complete Mozart Piano Sonatas in 6 Recitals by Artur Pizarro ÉGIDE presents the complete piano sonatas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a cycle of six recitals performed by Artur Pizarro at Convento de São Pedro de Alcântara. Hearing all of Mozart's piano sonatas in concert is a rare opportunity. These works, written over almost the composer's entire life, do not form a homogeneous set, but a musical journey that crosses different creative phases, contexts and intentions. Heard in a cycle, they reveal themselves as a true portrait of Mozart's evolution as a composer for the piano, between classical elegance, formal invention and a surprising expressive depth. The complete performance of these sonatas is rare internationally, being a challenge taken on by only a very small number of pianists, among them names such as Alfred Brendel, Mitsuko Uchida or Daniel Barenboim. The artistic demands, interpretative stamina and musical coherence required make this kind of project exceptional. This cycle also recovers the performance order chosen by Sequeira Costa for his historic 1956 complete cycle, recreating a reading conceived as a continuous artistic journey, where the dialogue between works from different periods reveals affinities, contrasts and new perspectives of listening. With this initiative, ÉGIDE - Portuguese Association of the Arts - proposes a rare and in-depth listening experience, inviting the audience to discover Mozart as a coherent whole, lived in time and continuity.
