The Cascais Symphony Orchestra presents a pedagogical concert bringing together students from the Cascais Conservatory and the Slovak Ján Levoslav Bella Conservatory with the orchestra's principal players. The programme features Britten's work as an open lesson on the symphony orchestra, plus a young soloist.

Synopsis This year, the Cascais Symphony Orchestra's concert focuses on future generations. It will be a moment of great pedagogical importance. The Symphony opens its doors to students who have completed their training at the Cascais Conservatory and to students from the Ján Levoslav Bella Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Art in Slovakia, currently Erasmus students at our Conservatory, placing them alongside the principal members of the orchestra. The repertoire has a pedagogical character, bringing together works that appeal to families and young people of all ages, with special emphasis on Britten's magnificent work in the year marking the 50th anniversary of his death. This piece presents itself as an open lesson on the composition of a symphony orchestra.
