The Museum of the Orient ticket gives access to the permanent exhibition 'Portuguese Presence in Asia' and the temporary shows 'Japan: Festivals and Rituals' (until 3 January 2027) and 'Da Matriz à Impressão' (until 9 August 2026). On Fridays there is free entry from 6pm to 8pm. Entry 10€.

Brief Introduction The Museum of the Orient entrance ticket gives access to all the exhibitions on display. Permanent Exhibition: "Portuguese Presence in Asia" [Floor 1] With more than 3,400 pieces, this collection includes Chinese and Japanese screens from the 17th and 18th centuries and a core of armorial porcelain from the Companhia das Índias. Temporary exhibitions: "Japan: Festivals and Rituals" [Floor 2] Until 3 January 2027 Throughout the year, numerous traditional religious festivals and rituals of great social and cultural importance take place in Japan. Bringing together more than 1,500 pieces in an impressive scenography, Japan: Festivals and Rituals reveals these celebrations and their role in Japanese society.
