In this workshop inspired by the exhibition Japan: Feasts and Rituals, participants explore essential oils and create a personalised home fragrance, based on Japanese wellness philosophy.

Brief Introduction INTENTION, PEACE AND BALANCE WORKSHOP With PURA351® Saturday | 26 September 10am to 1pm Ages 16+ In Japanese culture, fragrance is one of the elements that transforms the home space into a sanctuary of peace and balance. Rooted in the philosophy of kokoro no iyashi, the healing of the heart, fragrances do more than scent a room; they create atmospheres of mindfulness, tranquillity and presence. Whether starting the day with a fresh burst of citrus or relaxing with the soft aroma of Hinoki (Japanese cypress), the scents of the Japanese home invite you to slow down, breathe deeply and deepen your connection with the essence of each space. Inspired by the Japanese home featured in the exhibition Japan: Feasts and Rituals, this workshop will begin with the identification and experimentation of a selection of essential oils with specific aromatherapeutic properties and the definition of the profile of each space in the home, its living rituals and the associated territory of emotions/perceptions (relaxation, tranquillity, focus, concentration...). In a second moment, each participant will develop a personalised fragrance for the home space they have selected and create a reed (bottle with mikato) to take home. Cancellation policy: You will be refunded the full registration fee if cancellation is communicated up to 8 working days before the activity. After that date, a refund can only be considered if the place is filled or in cases of illness, accident or other unforeseeable circumstances of force majeure, duly proven.
