Duo Senza Misura, with Ana Ester Santos on harp and Marina Camponês on transverse flute, presents a recital spanning works by Damase, Hoppe, Nino Rota, Takemitsu, Sérgio Azevedo, Tchaikovsky and Donizetti, in a programme that celebrates the ability of flute and harp to evoke images and emotions. Free admission, with registration, at Capela de S. Sebastião in Cascais.

Summer Sounds. Flute and harp lead the audience on a sonic journey through different eras and imaginary landscapes. The programme traces the lyricism of Damase in Early Morning Variations, the contemplative atmosphere of Hoppe, the Italian elegance of Nino Rota's Sonata and the mysterious universe of Les Fils des Étoiles, Takemitsu's recreation based on Satie. Nature appears in Birds Chattering, by Sérgio Azevedo, before the intense emotional charge of Lensky's Aria by Tchaikovsky. Summer Music, also by Azevedo, recreates traditional dances with freshness and elegance. The recital closes with Donizetti's Sonata, a youthful work that already anticipates the composer's cantabile lyricism. Between dawns, serene storms, stars and summer dances, the programme celebrates the expressive richness of the flute and harp repertoire and its ability to evoke images and emotions through music.
