Next to the Church of Santo António near the Sé Cathedral, this branch of the Museum of Lisbon explores the figure of the Saint and his relationship with Lisbon, the city where he was born and lived until the age of 20, in a space combining the original church with a typical Pombaline building.

Brief Introduction Located in the historic zone of the city, next to the Church of Santo António, near the Sé Cathedral, this branch of the Museum of Lisbon introduces the figure of the Saint, emphasising his relationship with Lisbon, the city where he was born and lived until the age of 20. Inaugurated on 18 July 2014, the Museum of Lisbon - Santo António results from the transformation of the former Antonine Museum, open to the public since June 1962, into a new exhibition space, enlarged and completely redesigned, where two types of buildings are combined: the original space, which was an integral part of the Church of Santo António, and the new space, set in a typical Pombaline rental building. Opening Hours Tuesday to Sunday, from 10.00am to 6.00pm. Closed on Mondays and on 1 May, 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January.
