A participatory theatre project by Keli Freitas that brings to the stage the stories of immigrants in Lisbon, exploring shared encounters and artistic practices.

Synopsis This participatory project, conceived by Keli Freitas, starts from listening and meeting with immigrant people living in Lisbon. The creator, herself a migrant, brings together people whose stories cross different geographies, languages and cultures. In meetings, conversations and shared artistic practices, participants are invited to integrate a creative process that places their experiences and perspectives at the center of the stage. More than representing a social reality, the project promotes effective participation and the visibility of different voices and trajectories, through theatre. Between personal accounts, everyday gestures and plural imaginaries, the stage becomes a place of encounter, recognition and common construction, reinforcing D. Maria II's commitment to participatory artistic practices and to the diversity of cultures and communities of the contemporary city.
