Quiet Light, Riya Mahesh's project, presents her new release Blue Angel Sparkling Silver 2 in a concert at Casa Capitão.

Quiet Light is the project of Riya Mahesh, an American producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist. Her songs are, in her own words, 'dream sequences'. Her Lynchian electropop sound is frozen in time and built to resist wear, interweaving concise and precise compositions with delicate threads of ambient, electronic and folk. Her self-titled debut EP, Quiet Light (2020), started an independent discography: Blue Angel Sparkling Silver and Fourth of July (2023), Going Nowhere (2024) and Pure Hearts (2025). Along the way, she has earned critical acclaim, receiving a merit recognition from Iggy Pop, and being chosen to open for artists such as Cameron Winter, Erika de Casier, Nilufer Yanya and Chanel Beads. Now, with her upcoming mixtape Blue Angel Sparkling Silver 2, her debut release for True Panther (Oklou, Jawnino, Grace Ives), Quiet Light proves herself as a generational voice here to stay. The songs are assembled like a dreamlike collage of the places, people and influences that brought Mahesh here. As she says: 'This record is for people who dream about what their lives could be.' There are no seated or assigned places at Casa Capitão concerts. To guarantee a good position in front of the stage, it is advisable to arrive early. And be ready to spend an hour or two standing.
