A performance inspired by Nan Shepherd's The Living Mountain, based on the idea of the mountain as a place to enter rather than a summit to conquer. A teaser of the show.

During the Second World War, Nan Shepherd writes The Living Mountain, describing her journeys through the Cairngorms in a meditation on the comfort and strength of untamed regions, focusing on the mountain's hidden elements and our imaginative relationship with the wild world. In 1940, the manuscript's publication is refused and it would remain tucked away in a drawer for more than three decades. This show starts from that Living Mountain and from Shepherd's idea that the mountain is not a summit to be climbed, but a place to enter. A crack that opens. Things happen, some of them, in this show. Performance teaser.
