Turn Around presents one of the broadest public readings of contemporary art in Portugal, bringing together around 100 works from the EDP Foundation Collection at MAAT Central. Curated by João Pinharanda, Margarida Chantre and Sérgio Mah, the exhibition remains on view until 2027, Wednesday to Monday.

Turn Around presents itself as one of the broadest and most ambitious public readings of contemporary art in Portugal. Curated by João Pinharanda, Margarida Chantre and Sérgio Mah, the exhibition brings together around 100 works from the EDP Foundation Collection, an ensemble begun in 2000 that today includes around 2,500 works by more than 340 artists. On view at MAAT Central in two moments — from 11 February and from 29 April —, the show was conceived as a single exhibition project, on display until 2027. Far from a thematic or chronological organisation, the selection proposes an open route built on the dialogue between works, generations and languages, in close relation with the architecture of the space. Between established artists and emerging voices, Turn Around reveals affinities, frictions and continuities running through Portuguese artistic practices of recent decades.
