In this visit-workshop, children explore the work of Maria Helena Vieira da Silva and create their own abstract art. Aimed at schools and families with children over 6 years old.

The distinctive stroke of painter Maria Helena Vieira da Silva made her one of the most notable figures of 20th-century abstract art. Each stroke and brushstroke is a writing of her own, made of lines and squares in an abstract art where everything is possible. In this visit-workshop, we will get to know the journey of this Woman and Painter, exploring the characteristics of her stroke and some themes she favored, such as the Library that evokes the days spent at her maternal grandfather's house. Children, based on observation of the artist's works, are challenged to create their own abstract work. Target audience: Schools and families (+6 years) | Visit Workshop.
