Marcelo Serrado, one of the most recognized and popular actors in Brazilian television, cinema and theatre, premieres in December in Portugal the play that was a hit in Brazil: TERAPIA. Synopsis TERAPIA is a comic, visceral and surprisingly intimate show about anxiety, relationships, crises, fears and the difficult art of trying to keep one's sanity in an increasingly fast-paced world. After more than three decades of a career marked by characters that spanned generations, Marcelo Serrado now takes to the stage with practically no filters. In Terapia, he turns personal experiences, neuroses, panic episodes, marital crises, unlikely trips and existential dilemmas into a comedy about what we so often try to hide - our own fragility. "A comedy about the madness of being normal." That is the starting point of a modern monologue that crosses theatre, confession, satire and improvisation and leads the audience through the mind of a man on the verge of a nervous breakdown - and of laughter. Serrado has publicly spoken about the periods in which he faced anxiety, panic and burnout crises and about the need to seek help. With sharp humor and a good dose of self-irony, Serrado goes through personal stories, marital crises, bizarre trips, fears, neuroses and delusions, in a performance in permanent dialogue with the audience.
