Carla Prata is a Portuguese-Angolan artist, composer and producer born in London. Starting from an R&B base, she marks her sound with African rhythms, but also with soul influences. Dedicated to strengthening the bond between words and melodies, she has developed her own musical style, which leads her to alternate between Portuguese and English, as well as between genres and cultures whose barriers she tries to blur. In this fluid and relaxed song format, emotional depth finds in Carla Prata's voice a safe channel to reach us. Proof of this are the more than 8 million streams on digital platforms. And, of course, her beautiful performances, like the one she will treat us to on next 7 November. In the first part, the chosen one was Herlander. Layer by layer, Herlander's eccentricity is found in every modality of song he offers us. From his latest, and first , mixtape CÁRIE (yes, you can also call it an album), he grows as an artist and deconstructs himself as a composer, with a heart open enough to give that space to his music. The immersion in his bubbly universe, where hyperpop, electronic music and indie reign, also draws on references from his life in Seixal, letting hip-hop or r&b coexist in his universe full of colour and glitter. There are no seats, nor assigned seats, at Casa Capitão concerts. To guarantee a good position facing the stage, it is advisable to arrive early. And be prepared to spend one or two hours standing.
