Xico Gaiato, the project of Francisco Barata, presents debut album A Cada Passo Que Dou live at Casa Capitão in Lisbon on 2 October — fourteen songs rooted in the Beira Interior reimagined through electronics and pop.

Xico Gaiato releases A Cada Passo Que Dou, his debut album, on Omnichord. After revealing the singles "Voltas e Voltas" and "Na Raiz" this year, Francisco Barata finally presents the record in full, a set of fourteen songs born in the Beira Interior that build a universe deeply tied to the land, memory and identity. Besides the digital release, A Cada Passo Que Dou will also come out in a special vinyl and CD edition, designed to earn a place on shelves, turntables and in the homes of anyone who wants to take these songs with them. The album will be presented live at Casa Capitão in Lisbon on 2 October. A Cada Passo Que Dou consists of 14 songs in which Francisco Barata takes the sounds that marked his childhood in the Beira Interior and reinterprets them through electronics and pop, opening a new space for the exploration of traditional music. Part of the record was recorded during an artistic residency in Donas, the village where his mother grew up, and it is there that many of the sounds running through the album take shape, from the bombos to the pífaro.
