Gabriel Ferrandini presents his new album, Romance, five years after Hair of the Dog. The album explores new narrative structures, including writing for choir and string orchestra, reflecting his collaborative and experimental practice.

Gabriel Ferrandini presents his new album, Romance, at TBA. The album comes five years after Hair of the Dog and is composed by the musician and co-produced with Pedro Alves Sousa. The album will be released through w25th, a subsidiary of the Superior Viaduct label, responsible for releases by artists such as Cindy Lee, Sarah Davachi and Nivhek. Although drums have occupied a central place throughout Gabriel Ferrandini's career, the focus and direction of his new compositions are mainly based on narrative structures that go beyond the instrument and explore more complex and risky territories. Among them, writing for choir and string orchestra stands out, in dialogue with electric and electronic elements associated with drums, digital pedals and the controlled use of feedback in the sub-bass range. In recent years, Gabriel Ferrandini has developed intense collaborative activity with creators from different artistic fields, including Tiago Rodrigues in theatre, Vânia Doutel Vaz in dance, and Alexandre Estrela in visual arts. These collaborations, among many others, span multiple disciplines and reflect an artistic practice open to dialogue and experimentation between languages. Endowed with a strong sense of color and memory, Gabriel Ferrandini's compositions summon worlds from the past while simultaneously maintaining a gaze projected toward the future.
