GOA - Travelling Tales is Teatro Meridional's new creation: a show built from tales, poetry and novel excerpts about Goa, Daman and Diu, exploring the historical and human universe of these Portuguese-speaking territories and honouring the Indo-Portuguese communities living in Portugal today.

Synopsis GOA - Contos em Viagem is Teatro Meridional's new creation, built from tales, poetry and excerpts of novels by different authors, written at different moments in the history of Goa, Daman and Diu. From a research process that begins in literature and expands into music, movement and the plastic and sensory dimension, the show seeks the historical, geographical and human universe of these territories, where Portuguese was spoken — and where, residually, it is still spoken today. This is a meeting between Portugal and its own history. A show that honours the Indo-Portuguese communities living in Portugal today, bringing to the stage a heritage that many Portuguese crossed without knowing, and that many others know nothing about at all.
