Synopsis Complete Mozart Piano Sonatas in 6 Recitals by Artur Pizarro ÉGIDE presents the complete piano sonatas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in a cycle of six recitals performed by Artur Pizarro at the Convento de São Pedro de Alcântara. Hearing the entirety of Mozart's piano sonatas in concert is a rare opportunity. These works, written across almost the whole of the composer's life, do not form a homogeneous set but a musical journey through different creative phases, contexts and intentions. Heard as a cycle, they reveal themselves as a true portrait of Mozart's evolution as a composer for piano, between classical elegance, formal invention and a surprising expressive depth. The complete performance of these sonatas is infrequent at international level, being a challenge taken on by only a very small number of pianists, among whom names such as Alfred Brendel, Mitsuko Uchida or Daniel Barenboim stand out. The artistic demands, interpretive stamina and musical coherence required make this kind of project exceptional. This cycle also recovers the performance order chosen by Sequeira Costa for his historic complete cycle of 1956, recreating a reading conceived as a continuous artistic journey, in which the dialogue between works from different periods reveals affinities, contrasts and new perspectives of listening. With this initiative, ÉGIDE - ÉGIDE - Associação Portuguesa das Artes proposes a rare and in-depth listening experience, inviting the public to discover Mozart as a coherent whole, lived in time and continuity.
