DANÇA ORIENTAL| AULAS REGULARES PRESENCIAIS E ONLINE

Dance 30€ M/16

Tuesday 22 September · until 29 Dec

Regular oriental dance classes, in-person and online, with Carla Sofia, for ages 16 and up.

Brief Introduction *With Carla Sofia Tuesday and Thursday 13.00 - 14.00 For ages 16 and over NOTE: Due to space management, you must indicate the modality [in-person or online] when registering. Oriental dance is a dance of women for women of all ages and body types. This type of dance has as its main characteristic the rhythmic movement of the hips and abdominal muscles. It is composed of a series of movements of vibrations, accentuations, undulations, pelvic movements and rotations, which work the body as a whole. Combined with music and a sinuosity similar to that of a snake, these movements were originally an integral part of the fertility ritual and preparation for motherhood. Oriental dance promotes sociability, self-esteem, sensuality, strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination, body awareness and balance, providing a true inner journey. Above all, it allows you to discover that it is possible to have fun dancing, releasing and controlling the body at the same time, thus taking us on a path of personal enrichment through movement. The physical and emotional benefits of Oriental Dance make it a true therapy for the body and mind. TESTIMONIALS FROM ORIENTAL DANCE STUDENTS AT THE MUSEUM OF THE ORIENT: "When I dance, I am surprised by the strength that is born in me. Oriental Dance is lightness - it takes us beyond ourselves. Oriental Dance awakens the GODDESS within me! Is there anything more POWERFUL than that? It is more than a dance, it is pure MAGIC!" "Oriental Dance classes bring me many things: they help me stretch my back and breathe deeply, distract me from worries I might have at that time and give me a community with whom I can share the sensations and emotions brought by dance. Oriental Dance is much more than the imaginary setting of the thousand and one nights, populated by women with bare bellies and faces covered by a veil. Oriental Dance is a process in which the body is always evolving in the mastery of technique and movement. At the same time, Oriental Dance opens a space within us, so that each dancer can meet her deepest and dormant feminine root. And that is why it is important to dance!" ONLINE FORMAT This is an online edition, broadcast in real time and live through the Google Meets platform.
