Synopsis GOA - Contos em Viagem is the new creation by Teatro Meridional, built from short stories, poetry and excerpts from novels by different authors, written at different moments in the history of Goa, Daman and Diu. Starting from research work that begins in literature and expands into music, movement and the plastic and sensory dimension, the show seeks the historical, geographical and human universe of these territories, where Portuguese was spoken — and where it is still spoken, residually, today. This is an encounter between Portugal and its own history. A show that honours the Indo-Portuguese communities living in Portugal today, bringing to the stage a heritage that many Portuguese people crossed without knowing, and that many others know nothing about at all. Sinopse GOA - Contos em Viagem é a nova criação do Teatro Meridional, construída a partir de contos, poesia e excertos de romances de diferentes autores, escritos em diferentes momentos da história de Goa, Damão e Diu. A partir de um trabalho de pesquisa que se inicia na literatura e se expande à música, ao movimento e à dimensão plástica e sensorial, o espetáculo procura o universo histórico, geográfico e humano destes territórios , onde se falou, e ainda hoje, residualmente, se fala a língua portuguesa. Este é um encontro entre Portugal e a sua própria história. Um espetáculo que honra as comunidades indo-portuguesas que hoje vivem em Portugal, trazendo à cena um património que muitos portugueses cruzaram sem saber, e que tantos outros desconhecem em absoluto.
