Artur Pizarro performs the complete piano sonatas of Mozart at the Convento de São Pedro de Alcântara, celebrating the 270th anniversary of the composer's birth.

On January 27, 1756, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Austria. To celebrate the 270th anniversary of his birth, the Associação Portuguesa das Artes presents, at the Convento de São Pedro de Alcântara, the complete cycle of Mozart's piano sonatas, performed by the renowned pianist Artur Pizarro. This is an unprecedented cycle in Portugal and a rare event internationally, given the enormous challenge of interpreting all these works in a single cycle of concerts. Artur Pizarro, one of the most internationally acclaimed Portuguese pianists, will also recover the historical performance order chosen by Sequeira Costa in his famous 1956 complete recording. A 27 de janeiro de 1756, nascia, na Áustria, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Para celebrar os 270 anos do seu nascimento, a ÉGIDE , Associação Portuguesa das Artes apresenta, no Convento de São Pedro de Alcântara, a Integral das Sonatas para Piano de Mozart, interpretada pelo conceituado pianista Artur Pizarro. Trata-se de um ciclo inédito em Portugal e um evento raro a nível internacional, dada a enorme exigência de interpretar a totalidade destas obras num único ciclo de concertos.
