Carla Prata is a Luso-Angolan artist, songwriter, composer and producer, born in South London, who mixes musical genres and geographical spaces. The natural mobility with which she floats between Portuguese and English has earned her a unique space in both the Portuguese and Angolan music scenes. Currently residing in South London, Carla draws inspiration from her multicultural background to create a sound as bold as it is versatile. From the most soulful R&B to rhythms with African influence, she writes, produces and performs music that transcends borders, staying true to her story, raw, honest and constantly evolving. She began defining her sonic identity and sharing her music with the world early on, and in 2020, her first studio project, 'Roots', emerged, with the highlight 'Owner', which already has over 8M streams on digital platforms. In 2024, she released her debut album, PUPA, where she collaborated with names like Sammy Soso and Angolan icon Paulo Flores. The project consolidated her versatility and deepened her connection to her African roots. Her performance on the COLORS platform with tracks like 'Certified Freak' and 'Owner' further highlighted her talent internationally. Carla Prata asserts herself as a unique and authentic voice, uniting genres and cultures with creativity and emotional depth. Recently, she released It All Leads Back South, which explores the emotional ties between the three places Carla Prata has called home. Bringing together influences from the UK, Angola and Portugal, the project reflects on memory, identity and what it means to belong to more than one place at the same time. Still in 2026, she is preparing her second EP, which already has the emotional foundations of 'It All Leads Back South' and will be the second story of a two-chapter project. Carla Prata é uma artista, songwriter, compositora e produtora luso-angolana, nascida no sul de Londres que mistura géneros musicais e espaços geográficos. A mobilidade natural com que flutua entre o português e o inglês, fê-la conquistar um espaço único tanto no panorama musical português como também no de Angola.
