Between Samurai and Violins proposes a musical journey inspired by the life and thought of Shinichi Suzuki, a major figure in 20th-century music pedagogy. Born into a lineage of samurai and a member of the family that owned the world's largest instrument factory, his path was marked by a late discovery of the violin, by his time in Berlin, by his friendship with Einstein and by the formulation of the 'mother tongue' principle. This concert celebrates a legacy that combines discipline, listening and affection, revealing music as a language of formation, sharing and growth. Between tradition and innovation, this concert promotes an immersive experience, capable of transforming performers and audiences on both sides of the stage.

Synopsis Complete Mozart Piano Sonatas in 6 Recitals by Artur Pizarro ÉGIDE presents the complete piano sonatas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in a cycle of six recitals performed by Artur Pizarro at the Convento de São Pedro de Alcântara. Hearing the entirety of Mozart's piano sonatas in concert is a rare opportunity. These works, written across almost the whole of the composer's life, do not form a homogeneous set but a musical journey through different creative phases, contexts and intentions. Heard as a cycle, they reveal themselves as a true portrait of Mozart's evolution as a composer for piano, between classical elegance, formal invention and a surprising expressive depth. The complete performance of these sonatas is infrequent at international level, being a challenge taken on by only a very small number of pianists, among whom names such as Alfred Brendel, Mitsuko Uchida or Daniel Barenboim stand out. The artistic demands, interpretive stamina and musical coherence required make this kind of project exceptional. This cycle also recovers the performance order chosen by Sequeira Costa for his historic complete cycle of 1956, recreating a reading conceived as a continuous artistic journey, in which the dialogue between works from different periods reveals affinities, contrasts and new perspectives of listening. With this initiative, ÉGIDE - ÉGIDE - Associação Portuguesa das Artes proposes a rare and in-depth listening experience, inviting the public to discover Mozart as a coherent whole, lived in time and continuity. Sinopse Integral das Sonatas para Piano de Mozart em 6 Recitais por Artur Pizarro A ÉGIDE apresenta a Integral das Sonatas para Piano de Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, num ciclo de seis recitais interpretados por Artur Pizarro, no Convento de São Pedro de Alcântara. Ouvir a totalidade das sonatas para piano de Mozart em concerto é uma oportunidade rara. Estas obras, escritas ao longo de quase toda a vida do compositor, não formam um conjunto homogéneo, mas um percurso musical que atravessa diferentes fases criativas, contextos e intenções. Escutadas em ciclo, revelam-se como um verdadeiro retrato da evolução de Mozart enquanto compositor para piano, entre a elegância clássica, a invenção formal e uma surpreendente profundidade expressiva. A apresentação integral destas sonatas é pouco frequente a nível internacional, sendo um desafio assumido apenas por um número muito reduzido de pianistas, entre os quais se destacam nomes como Alfred Brendel, Mitsuko Uchida ou Daniel Barenboim. A exigência artística, a resistência interpretativa e a coerência musical necessárias tornam este tipo de projeto excecional. Este ciclo recupera ainda a ordem de execução escolhida por Sequeira Costa aquando da sua histórica integral de 1956, recriando uma leitura pensada como percurso artístico contínuo, onde o diálogo entre obras de diferentes períodos revela afinidades, contrastes e novas perspetivas de escuta.
