The 10th edition of the Estoril Conferences, held at Nova SBE in Cascais, brings together Nobel laureates, heads of state, and global leaders to debate the theme 'Reignite Democracy' amid rising polarization and disinformation.

Full details

The Estoril Conferences are preparing to mark a particularly significant milestone: their 10th Edition, which will take place on October 29 and 30, 2026, at the Nova SBE Campus in Cascais, the heart of the European Capital of Democracy 2026. Over nearly two decades, this meeting has established itself as a leading international platform for debating the great challenges of our time, bringing together Nobel laureates, heads of state, policymakers, academics, entrepreneurs, artists, young leaders, and civil society representatives. Altogether, the Estoril Conferences have already hosted more than 17,000 participants from over 130 nationalities, promoting a plural and inspiring dialogue across generations and geographies. The 2026 edition will be dedicated to the theme "Reignite Democracy", at a particularly challenging time in the international landscape, marked by growing divisions, polarization, and disinformation. In times of uncertainty, democracy remains the fundamental foundation that sustains freedom, justice, and equity for all. It is in this spirit that the Estoril Conferences once again bring together international leaders, policymakers, academics, and young leaders in a space for reflection, dialogue, and mobilization for action.
