On 25 and 26 September 2026, Rádio Quântica presents the 6th edition of its non-profit community festival, Ano Q. Over two days, in a historic Lisbon venue — Galeria Zé dos Bois — the event celebrates some of the most intriguing sonic iterations of the Portuguese scene, with emerging artists or typically marginalised communities alongside pioneering but under-represented artists. This edition proposes an unhurried sonic journey crossing distinct geographies and musical languages — from Angola to Braga, from exploratory violin to the rawest jungle — always faithful to the community spirit that has defined Rádio Quântica since its foundation. The line-up features Nazar, who brings experimentation to Angolan-rooted kuduro, crossing the rhythms of Luanda with deconstructed electronics, released by the seminal British label Hyperdub. kilombo kosmico, a project by Xullaji and Peles Negras Máscaras Negras that includes musical and spoken word repertoire from Xullaji, Prétu and others in a more experimental and expansive approach. Helena Silva presents her sonic, exploratory violin, building ambient and cinematic layers from a classical instrument. Isma(el), filmmaker, vocalist and composer of the collective The Blacker The Berry, brings afro-futurism and soul to a performance specially designed for the festival. Suzana Francês in a personal fusion of Angolan and Cape Verdean roots, in which her classical violin training reinvents itself through voice and songwriting. Má Estrela, a project joining Pedro Alves Sousa (tenor sax and electronics), Simão Simões (electronics), Bruno Silva (electronics), Gabriel Ferrandini (drums and electronics) and Bruna de Moura (cello), mixes jazz, dub and electronics in a hypnotic, ritualistic proposal. The duo LANDA brings an intense yet intimate concert, with a poetics very much their own, meeting tradition and innovation with Cape Verde and Portugal in its pulse. Anrimeal tbcp Ana Alves, originally from Porto, creates and manipulates digital folk song from her current base in south London, drawing on post-minimalist principles of texture, limitation and repetition. Vibrartes, a collective joining musical improvisation of genres as different as trap, afro, pop and alternative with live saxophone. David J Amado, a Jamaican-American multidisciplinary artist based in Lisbon and the face of the project Ballet Para Todos, brings to Ano Q a performance where dance and music cross in an open and inclusive way. Mix'Elle, coming from Braga, brings precisely engineered breaks and tense basslines, worked over decades in the booth and home studio that have made her one of the most respected drum n bass veterans. To round things off, we present a DJ set from Tendency, from Porto, known for deconstructing the classic notion of a live set, with sampling, loops and real-time effects, in a futuristic, minimal sound that always looks forward. ANO Q 2026 brings together a diverse selection of artistic projects that challenge the boundaries of the mainstream through their practice. Nos dias 25 e 26 de setembro de 2026, a Rádio Quântica apresenta a 6ª edição do seu festival comunitário sem fins lucrativos, Ano Q. Em dois dias, num espaço histórico de Lisboa - Galeria Zé dos Bois - este evento celebra algumas das iterações sonoras mais intrigantes da cena portuguesa, com artistas emergentes ou comunidades tipicamente marginalizadas ao lado de artistas pioneiros mas sub-representados. Esta edição propõe uma viagem sonora sem pressa, que atravessa geografias e linguagens musicais distintas - de Angola a Braga, do violino exploratório ao jungle mais cru - sempre fiel ao espírito comunitário que define a Rádio Quântica desde a sua fundação. Na programação, Nazar traz experimentação ao kuduro de origem angolana, cruzando os ritmos de Luanda com electrónica desconstruída, editado pela seminal editora britânica Hyperdub. kilombo kosmico, um projeto de Xullaji e de Peles Negras Máscaras Negras que inclui repertório musical e de spoken word de Xullaji, Prétu e outros numa abordagem mais experimental e expansiva. Isma(el), realizador, vocalista e compositor do coletivo The Blacker The Berry traz afro-futurismo e alma à sua performance especialmente desenhada para o festival. Má Estrela, projeto que junta Pedro Alves Sousa (saxofone tenor e eletrónica), Simão Simões (eletrónica), Bruno Silva (eletrónica), Gabriel Ferrandini (bateria e eletrónica) e Bruna de Moura (violoncelo) mistura jazz, dub e electrónica numa proposta hipnótica e ritualística. A dupla LANDA traz-nos um concerto intenso mas intimista, com uma poética muito própria, fazendo encontrar a tradição e a inovação com Cabo Verde e Portugal na sua pulsação. Anrimeal tbcp Ana Alves, natural do Porto, cria e manipula canção folk digital a partir da sua base actual em sul de Londres, recorrendo aos princípios pós-minimalistas de textura, limitação e repetição. Vibrartes, coletivo que junta improvisação musical de géneros tão diferentes como trap, afro, pop e alternativo com saxofone ao vivo. David J Amado, artista multifacetado jamaicano-americano radicado em Lisboa e o rosto do projeto Ballet Para Todos traz ao Ano Q uma performance onde dança e música se cruzam de forma aberta e inclusiva. Mix'Elle, vinda de Braga, traz breaks engenheirados com precisão e linhas de baixo tensas, trabalhadas em décadas na booth e no home studio que a transformaram numa das mais respeitadas veteranas do drum n bass. Para completar, apresentamos um DJ set de Tendency, natural do Porto, conhecido por desconstruir a noção clássica de set ao vivo, com sampling, loops e efeitos em tempo real, num som futurista e minimal que olha sempre em frente. O ANO Q 2026 reúne uma seleção diversificada de projetos artísticos que desafiam as fronteiras do mainstream através da sua prática. A programação deste festival representa a resistência directa aos eventos que priorizam o lucro - procurando oferecer uma alternativa ao status quo de uma Lisboa cada vez mais gentrificada, onde uma polida padronização cultural imposta de cima ou de fora se tornou a norma.
