THE PINEAPPLE THIEF present “Far and Wide” in Lisbon and Porto. The Pineapple Thief return to Portugal in March 2027 for two special concerts: 14 March at República da Música, in Lisbon, and 16 March at Casa da Música, in Porto, as part of the European tour presenting the new album Far and Wide. Led by composer, vocalist and producer Bruce Soord, The Pineapple Thief have built, over more than two decades, a very distinctive identity, crossing emotional and intimate songwriting with expansive soundscapes and an enormous wealth of detail. The arrival of drummer Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson) marked a new creative chapter for the band, giving rise to a sequence of acclaimed works such as Your Wilderness, Dissolution, Versions of the Truth and It Leads to This. In 2027, the band brings to Portugal “Far and Wide”, the new album, released on 9 October 2026. A work that continues to expand the universe of The Pineapple Thief, balancing intimacy and emotional intensity with the broad, immersive sound that has become one of their trademarks. The Lisbon and Porto concerts will also have a special “An Evening With The Pineapple Thief” format: an extended show of more than 2 hours, including an acoustic section in the middle of the performance. An opportunity for the band to present Far and Wide and revisit different moments of their catalogue in a show designed to explore the full breadth of their music, from the most delicate and atmospheric moments to the grand soundscapes that characterise their concerts.
